Everything you might want to know before reaching out — about therapy, assessments, fees, and how sessions work.

While friendships are built on mutual support and sharing, a therapist's job is completely devoted to you and your needs. Therapists are trained to listen without judgment and keep the information you reveal confidential, with strong guidelines and repercussions for breaching this trust. Unlike friends, therapists will not provide advice or tell you what to do. Instead, they help you comprehend your ideas and behaviors from other perspectives.
According to research, approximately 75% of those who attend psychotherapy report some benefit from it. It has been found to increase emotional and psychological well-being while also causing affirming changes in the brain and body. Psychotherapy is an in-depth, long-term practice that focuses on a person's emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and prior experiences.
During the initial sessions, the therapist does an examination to learn about your past, present issues, and aspirations. You and your therapist will work together to establish clear, attainable goals, with the use of a variety of treatments adapted to your specific requirements. Throughout the therapy sessions, you will get ongoing support and direction to help you overcome obstacles and celebrate your success.
“Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome.” ~ Samuel Johnson You might consider seeking therapy if you are experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, stress, or anxiety that interfere with your daily activities. Therapy can also be beneficial if you're struggling to adjust to significant life changes, such as a relationship breakup, job loss, or personal catastrophe. Seeking therapy allows you to discuss these concerns, gain insights, and develop solutions to improve your well-being. Remember, you don't have to face these challenges alone; therapy can provide the support and guidance you need.
The number of therapy sessions you'll require is determined by your specific goals, the complexity of your difficulties, and your level of involvement in the process. After analyzing your requirements, your therapist will prescribe a session frequency that will be tailored to your specific needs, ensuring the greatest possible results.
Sessions are available in Hindi, English, and Gujarati. You can choose the language that best suits your comfort and needs for effective communication and support.
No, therapists are not authorized to prescribe medications in India. If medication is needed, therapists will refer clients to a psychiatrist or other medical professional. While therapists often hold advanced degrees in psychology, they do not have medical training (such as an MBBS or MD) required for prescribing drugs.
In the case of an emergency or crisis, contact emergency helplines provided. They provide immediate assistance and can connect you with appropriate resources for your situation. It's important to note that we are not crisis counselors and may not always be available outside of scheduled sessions. This policy is in place to prevent dependency and to uphold their professional boundaries.

Yes, you're welcome to encourage a loved one to seek therapy and share information about our services. We even offer the option to Gift a Therapy session as a gentle and thoughtful way to help someone take their first step toward well-being. However, to maintain ethical practice and avoid non-competitive or conflicting narratives, the same therapist cannot provide therapy to multiple members of the same family or close relational system. If your partner, friend, or family member reaches out, they will be matched with a different therapist to ensure neutrality, safety, and the integrity of the therapeutic process.
Yes, we do offer therapy to minors in accordance with the Mental Healthcare Act (MHCA), 2017. This ensures that care is ethical, lawful, and in the best interest of the young client. Under the Act, a minor can receive mental health treatment with the informed consent of their Nominated Representative. For clients below 18 years of age, we require a written consent or acknowledgment from an adult before starting therapy. The consenting adult does not have to be the biological parent or legal guardian, but should be a responsible adult (adult sibling, teacher, etc.) who is capable of understanding the process and providing informed consent on behalf of the minor, and who acknowledges the minor's participation in therapy.
We offer in-person sessions at our Kandivali, Mumbai office. Please reach out directly to confirm your appointment and address any additional questions or requests. For online sessions, to ease the process of discussing availability, appointments can be scheduled through Calendly.
If you're not feeling comfortable with how your sessions are going, it's important to bring it up. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your feedback helps guide the direction of your care. If something doesn't feel right, you're encouraged to openly share your concern. We can adjust the approach, shift focus, or discuss any concerns you have. Your comfort and progress are the top priority. If necessary, we can also explore options like switching therapists to ensure you find the right fit for your journey.
We do not offer chat-based therapy. Therapy is most effective when it includes visual and relational elements, as non-verbal cues such as facial expressions, body language, and emotional presence play a crucial role in understanding and supporting you fully. These important aspects are often missed in voice-only or text-based formats, which is why sessions are offered through video or in person to ensure the highest quality of care. Additionally, chat therapy is not included in the training of academic psychologists, and effective therapy cannot be adequately conducted through messages or chat. This method is not scientifically proven for counseling and may not provide the intended benefits.
At the moment, we do not accept payments via credit cards. Payments can be made through UPI, bank transfer (NEFT), or in cash for in-person sessions.
Yes! We offer discounted packages when you book multiple sessions in advance. For detailed information on our packages and current offers, please visit our Packages & Pricing page.
Absolutely. We provide payment receipts upon request, which you can use for insurance reimbursement purposes.
No. Psychological and psychometric assessments are completely non-invasive. You will not be pricked with needles or have any wires attached to your body. The assessments involve talking with the psychologist, answering questions, solving tasks, or completing paper-and-pencil or digital tests. Everything is designed to be safe, comfortable, and stress-free.
For assessments and comprehensive history-taking, having an informant (such as a parent, partner, or caregiver) join can be helpful to provide additional context and insights into your concerns. For individual therapy, we do not include friends or family members in sessions, as this may compromise confidentiality, boundaries, and the integrity of the therapeutic process. If involving someone feels important to you, you're encouraged to discuss this with your therapist, who can guide you on the most ethical and appropriate way to proceed. For relationship-related concerns, sessions are thoughtfully structured either as individual or joint sessions (such as couples counselling) and are guided carefully by the therapist to ensure safety, clarity, and therapeutic effectiveness.
We currently offer individual therapy and couples counselling sessions. At this time, we do not provide family therapy sessions. You may consider couples counselling if you and your partner want to: • Improve communication and create boundaries • Work through conflicts in a healthy, respectful way • Rebuild trust after hurt or misunderstandings • Address concerns around emotional, sexual, or physical intimacy • Work through past or ongoing infidelity • Feel more connected, supported, and emotionally secure with each other • Learn practical tools to manage stress and life challenges as a team

While the therapeutic work and care remain the same, in-person sessions involve additional operational costs such as clinic space, utilities, administrative support, and on-site resources. To keep online therapy accessible and flexible, those sessions are priced slightly lower. This allows us to offer quality care across both formats while maintaining a sustainable and ethical practice.
At this time, we do not offer pro-bono or free therapy sessions, as it's important to honor the time, care, and professional expertise involved in providing quality mental health services. However, if you're seeking pro-bono support, we're happy to help with appropriate referrals to other professionals or organizations that may offer such options. To keep our services accessible, we work with a team of professionals with varying levels of experience and fee structures, and we may offer a sliding fee scale based on need wherever possible. While we don't provide trial therapy sessions, we do offer a complimentary 10-minute teleconsultation call before your first appointment. This is a no-pressure space to ask questions, understand the therapy process, and see if we're the right fit for you.
